What is this?
Local Government Skills Exchange is a way for people working across local and central government to offer a small amount of their time — a couple of hours here and there — to help colleagues in other organisations who need a specific skill.
It is entirely informal. There are no contracts, no payments, and no obligations. Just people helping people.
How it works
Post an offer
Tell people what you can help with — whether that's data analysis, user research, writing, project management, or anything else you are good at.
Browse offers
Search by skill, role, or category to find someone who can help with what you are working on. Filter by the type of work or the LGAM category it relates to.
Get in touch
Message someone directly through the service to arrange how and when they can help. No need to share personal contact details until you are ready.
Who can join?
Anyone can create an account. While this is a prototype, any email address can be used to register.
